As a life-long plant-lover, Alexis is glad to share her enthusiasm for trees, shrubs, and flowers as the former Nursery & Landscape Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. Alexis offers a unique perspective on gardening as she has worked directly with local nurseries, landscaper professionals, and arborists on Long Island. Her passion for plants was cultivated at a young age by her father, as she worked alongside him helping create a nature preserve in Garden City. Not to be outdone, her artistic eye was sculpted by her mother, as she painted and drew in her mother's art studio.
